Role Purpose: The Marketing Manager for B&Q Ireland will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and sales growth across all marketing channels. This role requires a deep understanding of consumer behaviour and retail trends within the Irish market. The Marketing Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all marketing activities align with B&Q's overall business objectives

Key responsibilities

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the annual marketing plan for B&Q Ireland, aligning with the company's overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all marketing communications, both online and offline.
  • Campaign Management: Lead the creation and implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive footfall, online traffic, and sales, including digital, print, social media and radio advertising.
  • Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget for Ireland, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and delivering maximum ROI on all marketing activities.
  • Customer Insights: Analyse market trends, customer data, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Digital Marketing: Collaborate closely with the UK Performance Media Team to ensure that digital marketing campaigns for Ireland align with broader UK strategies while addressing the unique needs of the Irish market.
  • Performance Measurement: Track and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns using KPIs and analytics, providing regular reports to senior management and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Marketing Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, with a strong focus on retail or consumer goods, ideally within the Irish market.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to develop and execute complex marketing strategies that drive business results.
  • Brand Management: Experience in managing and evolving a brand within a competitive market.
  • Influence: Ability to effectively influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive marketing initiatives and achieve business objectives.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Budget Management: Experience in managing marketing budgets and delivering strong ROI.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and results to senior management.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing market conditions and business priorities
