We’re AmTrust International Underwriters, an insurance business based out of our modern offices in the Temple Bar area of Dublin. As part of a Global group, we work creatively to develop bespoke insurance solutions for leading financial institutions, retailers and manufacturers both Internationally and Globally.

We are now recruiting for a Risk Manager to join our team on permanent basis

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, this role will be responsible for the ongoing development and production of core risk management processes and delivering key elements of the enterprise risk management framework including the ORSA, Risk Appetite and Recovery and Resolution Plan.

Essential functions of this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Ongoing implementation of a top risk assessment process, ensuring an assurance focused approach to the assessment of key risks and associated control frameworks
  • Lead the production of the ORSA report and constituent components of the ORSA process
  • Support the oversight of Solvency II production and reporting.
  • Produce high quality reports for the Executive Management Team, Risk Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Ongoing development of the risk policy suite including the risk appetite and development of appropriate risk indicators

This role will suit you if you have experience within a risk management function, in particular related to the insurance sector and well as a working knowledge of Solvency II. Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – as well as strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a highly analytical and logical approach to problem solving are key .
