Retail Pharmacy Assistant

The Retail Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for advising customers on health and beauty requirements and support the day-to-day store operations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing quality customer service when on the shop floor, by ensuring customers receive prompt and quality information
- Greeting all customers in store in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Selling and advising customers on a range of over the counter (OTC) medicines, complimentary medicines and beauty/grooming products
- Anticipating customers’ needs when recommending and/or advising on additional products that complement the products and services requested by the customer
- Managing pharmacy stock including general merchandising, administrative duties, ordering stock and pricing
- Ensuring all work areas are clean and tidy
Skills and Experience
- Experience in community pharmacy or retail environment
- Ability to form effective relationships with all stakeholders and customers
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated commitment to the provision of quality services.
- Honesty, integrity and an understanding of the significance of confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
