Assistant Manager

We currently wish to hire an Assistant Manager to assist the Store Manager with

the successful management of  a busy Mace Shop and Texaco Forecourt.

The Assistant Manager will work with the existing management team to maximise sales

of  our extensive Food to go Business. The Food to Go business is the heart of the Store and involves the preparation and sale of Hot Food, Soup, Tea/Coffee, and a large selection of sandwiches, wraps, and fresh salads , prepared daily in-store. Of course there will be other duties,  including oversight of the  Grocery, Dairy, Paper and Magazine, Confectionary, Soft drinks, Gift departments, and a seated Tea Coffee and food area. An in-depth understanding of Hygiene, Food storage and Preparation regulations, and the ability to drive a strong cleanliness ethic ,will be foremost amongst your responsibilities.

This role is tailor made for a person with :

Several years’ experience in a Supervisory role of a similar Forecourt retail unit,  a busy store,  or Food Retail outlet. Proven ability to demonstrate excellent people management skills. An ability to communicate with , lead, instruct, and assist a large team of motivated indivduals. Excellent Customer relationship skills. Self-motivated, a very strong work ethic, with a clear passion for, and love of , working in a busy ,demanding retail outlet.

Have an understanding of the requirements needed to ensure the safety of the retail

Team, and our customers ,during the time they spend in the store and on the forecourt.
