We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Residential Support Worker to join our team in Ennis, Co. Clare
Contract Type: Full-time Permanent
Contract Hours: 39 Hours per week
Salary Scale: The current salary scale for this post is €32,639 to €39,499 pro rata per annum.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days pro rate per annum
Overview of the Post:
The purpose of the role is to provide support services to adults with physical disabilities in a community home setting. This post will involve working across two community houses in Ennis and Ruan area and will require working shifts covering day, evening, weekend and overnight support.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the empowerment of people with disabilities working as part of a team through a person centered approach and will work with service owners in accessing social and recreational activities in the community and assisting with all aspects of daily living in their residential service.

The successful candidate will have
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum qualification QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules) in Social Care/Disability/Care skills or relevant heath related area.(Individuals with 2 modules completed will be eligible to apply once commitment given to complete the remainder of the major award)
- 1 years’ experience working with adults with disabilities.
- Full clean driver’s licence and willingness to drive service transport.
- Be Eligible to work in the state
- Basic IT skills.
Desirable Criteria:
· Experience working with adults in a residential service setting.
· Experience of working in community and in-home setting.
· Knowledge of person centered planning and Key Worker system
· Knowledge of New Directions guidelines
