We are offering this opportunity to an experienced manager to assume a leading role within the region in ensuring that the Muiríosa Foundation - achieves its strategic and operational priorities and goals - while also ensuring that the experience of the people we support is optimally aligned with, and driven by the vision of the Muiríosa Foundation.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Have a deep understanding and appreciation of what is involved in providing effective leadership and management
  • Have a sound knowledge base vis-à-vis relevant national policy frameworks and detail
  • Work effectively to build and sustain local teams
  • Will maintain a high level of presence in the various locations within the area, sufficient to ensure that the post holder has a strong firsthand sense of the quality of the service user experience
  • Will exhibit a high level of flexibility in respect of working locations and working hours
  • Will deputise for the Regional Director for periods of leave  May be required to support and undertake on-call where required.  Will conduct and review all internal and external audits as assigned by the Regional Director.
  • Will take the lead in consultation and negotiation with industrial relation officials as required
  • Attend training as required by the organisation, and also to seek to continuously develop professionally through education, training, networking, updates and other sources as are available.

Requirements for the role:

  • Relevant recognised Third Level Qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Additional ongoing training / updates relevant to the role
  • Experience of a Senior Management role with similar responsibilities (5 years +) including experience of leadership, direction, and teamwork relevant to the role of Regional Director.
  • Grounding across the areas comprehended by this role
  • Ability to evaluate complex information from a variety of sources to enable you to make and communicate effective decisions.
  • Experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders to implement change and Process improvements, as relevant to the role.
  • Direct contact with HIQA Inspectorate and preparation / oversight of responses to HIQA including compliance planning.

Candidates should note that as part of this role they will be required to travel between locations
