Refrigeration Engineer

Location: Randox Science Park, Antrim, Northern Ireland.

Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 08.40 to 17.20.


What does the Refrigeration Engineer role involve?

This role is responsible for the maintenance of all HVAC and Refrigeration equipment. This is an extremely varied role that will require you to develop a varied skillset, including:
  • Revising and updating Preventative tasks and schedule, as required.
  • Commissioning and servicing of HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment and assist with Validation on current / new equipment.
  • Installation of cold rooms / freezer rooms / air conditioning
  • Maintaining technical documentation e.g., specifications, design drawings, design calculations, reports, procedures, and documents required by the quality management system and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Respond to machine breakdowns and identify root cause and solutions and conduct corrective action as appropriate.
  • Identify repeat failures and participate in continuous improvement projects to improve performance or cost effectiveness.
  • Conduct Risk assessment / Method statements and ensure all work is conducted within H&S Regulations.
  • Maintain and support tasks on Chiller Condensers and Air Handling Units
  • Review and update critical spares.
  • Training and mentoring of others as part of continuous improvement.
  • On call rota done on rotation.

Full on the job training will be provided on our processes.


Who can apply?

This role would suit someone with Experience of fault finding and problem solving with HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment within a manufacturing environment.


Other Essential criteria:
  • Current clean driving licence.
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply information from files, drawings, catalogues, reports, and manuals.
  • Able to work flexible hours as required.
  • Experience with Chiller Condensers, Chiller Receivers, and Air Handling Units.
  • Team player.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to use own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge and experience of preventative maintenance practices.
  • Be prepared to travel.


Desirable:
  • Experience in the installation of BMS and temperature monitoring systems.
  • Experience with Honeywell HC900 systems.
  • A third level qualification in Engineering or similar.
  • Experience in a cGMP environment.
