Role Profile

Based at our liquid dairy processing site in Ballitore Co. Kildare, this role reports to the Site Head of Quality. Here, you will support the management team in leading best practice relating to all Food Safety & Quality activities across the site. This role represents an opportunity for an ambitious Quality professional to further develop their skillset and work for an organisation that invests in people development and offers a wide range of future opportunities across our 8 production locations and central quality team.

Responsibilities

  • Be a Leader in promoting the Food Safety and Quality culture across the site;
  • Conduct process, equipment and facility Quality and Food safety; verification checks, inspections and internal audits;
  • Actively engage and work with the site operations team to implement the Food Safety & Quality Management policies and controls;
  • Train and instruct the members of the operation teams in food safety and Quality policies and tasks;
  • With the Site Quality Manager, act as a Key Co Ordinator, for customer and regulatory audits;
  • Coordination of the site’s Management of Change process;
  • Together with the Production manager, lead the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process and product deviations. Agree CAPA plans and track execution to prevent re-occurrence;
  • Customer complaint investigation & management, including tracking & trending;
  • Report on Key Performance indicators and continuous improvement projects;
  • Liaise with the site Lab team & Operations & maintenance teams;
  • Manage sections of the quality system that are assigned by the Site Head of Quality;
  • Fulfil any other reasonable responsibility or duty as identified or requested by the Site Head of Quality.

Requirements

  • Third Level Degree in Science or equivalent;
  • Min 1-2 years in a dairy, meat, beverage, or food processing environment;
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, fault finding & root cause analysis on plant/process issues;
  • Good working knowledge of GMP best practices;
  • Experience operating within, and delivering on, the highest food safety & quality standards in the manufacturing sector;
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a cross functional team;
  • Industry Lab experience in the Dairy and or Food & Beverage sector desirable.
