Project Manager - Information Management & Technology Department

Clerical Officer Grade VI - Permanent, Full Time

Purpose of the Position: With strong project management skills, healthcare domain expertise, and effective communication abilities, the project manager plays a crucial role in leveraging technology to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as GDPR.

1. Qualifications and Knowledge/Experience/Skills

The ideal candidate would, on the latest date for receiving completed applications for the office, possess:

Qualifications and Training

· Certification in a formal project management methodology, (i.e., Prince2, PMP, etc.).

· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project

· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite

· ITIL Foundation certification

Professional Knowledge,Experience and Skills

  • 3 plus years’ experience in the delivery and management of Change Management and or ICT projects.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of Project Management methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the ability to organise and facilitate workshops.
  • Ability to present project status updates and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent ICT and technical report writing skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the issues in implementing ICT enabled change.
  • A high capacity for responsibility with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • A self-starter with the ability to both work on individual initiative and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies

Advantages and Desirables experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of the clinical rehabilitation processes and workflows, or healthcare in general, is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the advantages an Electronic Patient Record system brings to patient care, data accuracy, and hospital operations
