Procurement is a key component of our work. We are now in an exciting position to recruit for an established and evolving role of Procurement Manager in Avista.

Procurement Manager Role – Grade VIII

NATIONAL POST BASED IN DUBLIN WITH REGIONAL REMIT- CENTRAL MANAGEMENT SERVICES, NAVAN ROAD, DUBLIN 7.

PERMANENT FULL-TIME CONTRACT (35Hours Per Week)

Salary: €79, 056 -€95, 351* (LSI)

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience.

To develop and manage the Service’s Procurement section with the focus on providing an excellent service to Avista Support Services and its stakeholders ensuring that procurement activities are conducted in line with legislation and regulations governing public procurement and in support of business objectives while securing value for money. The post holder will be responsible for establishing and developing the procurement function within the Service and ensure it is adhered to.

Essential:

• A relevant level 8 third level qualification (business, procurement and/ or operational management)

• A relevant Procurement Qualification such as Diploma or Certificate in Public Procurement or equivalent.

• Full Clean Driving License.

Experience:

• A minimum of five years’ experience in both public and private sector operating in a commercial, purchasing and/or procurement capacity.

• A minimum of five years senior management experience in a health and social care/ healthcare operations role within a voluntary organisation.

• Public Procurement & Official Journal of the European Community (OJEU) tendering experience.

• CIPS or a specific PP qualification would be advantageous.

• A record of extensive administrative experience.

• Expertise in Data Analytics/Informatics.

• Excellent knowledge of Data Protection and forthcoming GDPR Legislation.

• Experience of working within a complex organisation with multi-disciplinary staff.

• Demonstration of experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders as relevant to the role.
