Working hours: 37.5 hrs a week

The Placement Technical Design Engineer will assist the Technical Team in their day-to-day activities managing projects for some of Denroy biggest customers from aerospace to automotive.

Hours of work are:
Monday – Thursday 0800 hrs – 1700 hrs
Friday 0800 hrs – 1330 hrs

The Placement Technical Design Engineer will assist the Technical Team in their day-to-day activities managing projects for some of Denroy biggest customers from aerospace to automotive.
Principal Activities
- Support the Technical Team in management of projects from concept to production
- Review technical specifications enabling manufacture by injection moulding
- Manage, review and process injection mould tooling quotations
- Support internal functions attending internal trials validating product prior to production
- 3D design of internal jigs and fixtures for use in manufacture and robotics
- Manufacture of components using 3D printing techniques including SLS and FDM
- Creation of 2D drawings with GD&T for General assembly reviews
- Technical input and advice to potential customers in design for manufacture
- Liaison and provision of technical assistance as required by other functions
- Contribute to day-to-day operations as required by the Technical Manager
- In a third level Technology/Engineering/Design qualification or equivalent course
- High level IT competency, extending to cover design software packages such as CATIA with knowledge of solid modelling and 3-D Surfacing techniques
- Excellent articulation and general communication skills
- Competency using Microsoft software including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Basic understanding of Engineering principals
- Understanding of injection moulding
