Physiotherapist Manager-in-Charge III

  • 1.0WTE (35 hours)
  • Indefinite duration contract
  • H.S.E. funded
  • Based in Harold’s Cross

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated Physiotherapist Manager-in-Charge III to lead and manage the physiotherapy service at Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services across its three sites. This position forms part of the Clinical Services management team and is responsible for ensuring high quality physiotherapy provision.

The Physiotherapist Manager-in-Charge III:

  • will be responsible for leading and managing the Physiotherapy Service at Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services, in line with best practice
  • will provide the required governance and leadership for physiotherapy staff to deliver a high-quality service and encourage innovation and flexibility in service design and delivery
  • will support the development and implementation of appropriately focused management and operational planning and control systems within the organisation
  • will ensure that service development is in line with National policy and strategy
  • will work collaboratively with nursing, medical and HSCP colleagues, as a senior member of the organisation, in delivering safe and effective patient care
  • will ensure that physiotherapy services are in line with national and international standards and support risk management and patient safety.

Essential criteria:

  • Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapist Registration Board at CORU.
  • Have five years full time (or an aggregate of 5 years fulltime) post qualification clinical experience.
  • Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, management, leadership and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
  • On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU
  • Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
