Personal / Care Assistant Required by Disabled Woman

Post: Personal/Care Assistant

Location: Dublin 8 / City Centre

Hours of Work: 20.00 hours on Friday night – 14.00 hours on Saturday afternoon - Sleepover

Hours will be longer some Saturdays - advance notice will be provided.

Hourly rate: Competitive wage guaranteed.

Reporting to: Eileen Daly

An Independent Living Personal Assistant Is:“ An individual contracted by the disabled person to provide them with the support they need in different aspects of daily living including, personal care and hygiene, domestic tasks, assistance at school, university, in the workplace, or when out and about”.

Duties and Responsibilities:·

Driving adapted van – applicant must be 25 years + for insurance purposes. A full clean driving licence ps essential for this role. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

• Assistance with cooking, cleaning, and household chores
• Accompaniment on social outings when required.
• Assistance with intimate personal care and support needs
• Assistance with physical activities
• Assistance with the maintenance of my small garden
• Any other duties that may arise

• A degree of flexibility is required in this role.
• Be willing to take instructions and direction from a disabled person.
• To maintain and respect confidentiality at all times.
• To have clean personal habits
• To communicate openly at all times
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and diligence in relation to your role as a Personal Assistant

Must be reliable, friendly, good humoured, diligent, & conscientious

• Have an ability to work on your own initiative when required

Training will be provided when required.
