We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Person in Charge to join our adult respite team in Arklow, Co. Wicklow.

Contract Type: This is a permanent, full time contract.

Contract Hours: 35 hours per week.

Salary Scale: €51,589 - €63,501 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments).

Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.

Overview of the Post:

The Person in Charge (PIC) will be responsible for the overall management of Enable Ireland Respite Services for children and adults based in Co. Wicklow. This includes responsibility for the management of staffing, budgets, and the provision pf the highest standards of respite and residential care to our Service Users.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HIQA standards and the implementation of Enable Ireland policies and procedures supporting best practice and care in disability services.

The successful candidate will have

Essential Criteria:

· Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or Nursing or equivalent.

· Evidence of professional registration.

· Must be eligible to work in the state.

· Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a similar work environment.

· Minimum of 3 years working at a senior level, or in a supervisory capacity.

· Experience working with adults with disability, including supporting service users who present with challenging behaviour.

· Management qualification.

· Excellent working knowledge of HIQA and their requirements.

· Full clean driving licence.

· Eligible to work in the State.

Desirable Criteria:

· Previous experience working as a Person in Charge.
