Payroll/Accounts Administrator

Keogh Commercials are hiring a Payroll/Accountant Bookkeeper to look after the day to day running of the finance office.

This is a maternity cover position with overall responsibility & accountability for the efficient running of our Kilkenny office.

The candidate is required to have a good working knowledge of Sage 50 accounts and a good understanding of accounts and bookkeeping principles. This is not essential. Training will be provided.

Good Communication skills and a professional manner in dealing with customers & suppliers is also required.

The role includes the following functions;

  • Creditors & Debtors Ledger
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • General Book Keeping
  • Dealing with Accounts Queries
  • Credit Control
  • General Administrative Tasks
  • Perform all payroll duties using thesaurus
  • Previous experience within an accounts/office background
  • Excellent administration skills and an ability to prioritise work
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Processing transactions on Sage50 software ensuring receipts, payments, invoices, expenses are entered in a timely manner. The Debtors & Creditors Ledger maintained, Bank reconciliations, and liaising with external accountants are also part of the brief.
  • Vehicle registrations
  • Sage50 software is desired but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Strong administrative experience and a minimum of one years bookkeeping/accounts experience within a work environment
  • Strong IT skills
  • An ability to work independently and across various administrative areas
  • Full drivers licence – collecting parts

The duration of the contract is 52 Weeks, though this may be extended by mutual agreement.

The contract is based on 28 or 35 hours per week, and is flexible, however attendance to the office will be required. Remote working is not available. We are looking for 4 or 5 days per week however this can be discussed on the day of the interview.

Training will commence the last week of August 2024.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
