Patient Advocate Liaison

(Spinal Services, Grade VII)

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this post is to develop strategies to enable increased Patient Advocacy,

Patient and Family partnership across the Hospital/Hospital Group and specifically in the CHI Spinal Unit. The post holder will play a vital role in building and strengthening relationships with patients, their families, Patient Advocacy Groups, Charities and staff through the delivery of a number of actions designed to enable patient partnership and improved outcomes for patients.

Essential Criteria:

• Expertise and evidence of partnering with patients and service users in the design, delivery and management of projects and programme within a health and social care context

• Experience and evidence of co- designing, co-developing, implementing and delivering programmes in the area of partnering with patients and service users.

• Experience of leading and managing projects in a healthcare and/or social care environment which partner with patients and service users

• Experience and evidence of managing and working in partnership and collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts in including patient and service user representative groups

• Experience of project management in a complex service delivery environment

• Evidence of working in collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders e.g. service users, government departments, senior managers, trade unions, NGO’s and Advocacy organisations

• Experience in working with Patient Advocacy Groups, Charities, Patients and Families.
