Operations Coordinator

The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all activities relating to production onsite, including the planning and coordination of raw materials and batch record management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision, to complete job related tasks and projects in a safe, compliant and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for the coordination of all inter shift activities on site, including the completion of daily production support checklists/weekly operational checklists
  • Responsible for the management of batch records on site.
  • Support the delivery of site and operational targets and plans through the ongoing monitoring of performance and operational KPIs, with identification and application of corrective actions where required.
  • Responsible for the design and roll-out of Standard Operating Procedures as they related to production activities onsite.
  • Understand and support the delivery of customer needs on time and in full while ensuring optimal raw material levels are available at all times to support on-time production.
  • Collaborate effectively with all site functions e.g. Engineering, Warehousing, EHS and Quality in achieving site and production targets and objectives.
  • Engage collaboratively with relevant cross-functional teams to ensure that routine operational activities are optimised to meet the needs of the production plan.
  • Liaising with Maintenance/Engineering to plan and rollout of scheduled and non-routine maintenance activities onsite.
  • Advocate for environmental, health and safety compliance. Ensures production operations are completed in accordance with environmental health and safety and quality compliance at all times, and in line with Company procedures, statutory, regulatory and operating licence requirements.
  • Works as part of a cross functional team to deliver new product or processes, resolve issues, implement change and other site initiatives.
  • Fully engages in programmes such as Continuous Improvement, Total Productive and Maintenance (TPM), 5S, Lean, Six Sigma, Total Quality, Self-directed Teams etc.
  • Attend and complete all training and development as requested and ensure training compliance at all times.
  • Participate in process, quality and safety, inspections, audits, deviation investigations, HAZOP’s, change management, root cause analysis and development of solutions.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities relevant to the role of Operations Coordinator.

Education, Knowledge & Experience

  • Third level qualification in a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 5yrs manufacturing experience required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements (environmental, health and safety, and quality).
  • High level computer proficient for example, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP etc.
  • Experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, lean, six-sigma certified, project management, change management would be an advantage.
  • Must hold a full driving licence.
