Office Accounts Payroll Administrator

The Accounts Administrator is responsible for organising the smooth and efficient operation of the company’s day-to-day accounting procedures. Needs to be from local Monaghan Area.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have over four years accounting experience
  • The position will be office based
  • The role will initially be part-time -20 to 25 hours per week but may grow to a 37.5 hour week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Checking supplier invoices, inputting on system, ditto credit notes and reconciliation of statements.
  • Organising payment to suppliers.
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations weekly.
  • Project and PO reconciliation.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of debtors and creditors ledger and nominal account postings.
  • Review of debtors and follow up actions.
  • Processing of payroll, employee expenses and timesheets.
  • Preparation of P30 returns.
  • Preparation of VAT returns and reconciling C&E import documentation.
  • Identifying and implementing any administrative efficiencies.
  • Performing general administrative duties as necessary.
  • Performing any ad hoc assignments as required by business

Salary is based on a fulltime role, so part time will reflect the hourly Rate.

Proven Microsoft Word & Excel competency is an essential using Microsoft 365 package.

  • Excellent communication interpersonal skills
  • Have Accounts & payroll experience (Quickbooks Collsoft or similar)
  • Positive , enthusiastic work approach with "can do " attitude
  • Be open to a changing work environment
  • Ad-hoc duties are part of this role
  • Have proven IT skills minimum three years (MS365, excel power-point, Word)
  • Work as a team, willing to problem solve
  • Be able to communicate directly with customers, suppliers & office personnel
  • Be constantly implementing & updating systems in place
  • Be able to deal with an evolving work environment
  • Have strong fluent English
  • References to previous experience essential.
  • Job would ideally suit someone in local area (Monaghan Ballybay Castleblayney Midletown, Keady)
