Sligo University Hospital is seeking to recruit an experienced Nursing Clinical Placement Co-Ordinator for their Nurse Practice Development Unit (NPDU)

Location of Post:

There is currently one 0.5 whole-time vacancy, which will be held on a permanent basis in Nurse Practice Development Unit Sligo University Hospital

The successful candidate may be required to work in any service area within the vicinity as the need arises.

A panel may be created from this recruitment campaign from which all current and future permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full and part-time duration may be filled throughout Sligo University Hospital.

Purpose of the Post:

The purpose of the post of Nursing Clinical Placement Co-ordinator (NPDU):

· To guide and support students and staff in assigned clinical areas to ensure that the clinical placement meets the requirements of the education programme with regard to planned experiences and outcomes.

· To work as part of the NPDU team developing nursing practice within the hospital, and will have responsibility as project lead on specific initiatives.
