There is currently 1 whole-time permanent vacancy available in the Pharmacy Department, Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore.

A panel may be created for a Senior Pharmacist in Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore, from which current and future permanent, specified purpose vacancies of full time or part time duration, may be filled.

Purpose of the Post

To join the senior pharmacist team in MRHT and contribute to the delivery of pharmacy services for MRHT.

Eligibility Criteria

Each candidate must, at the latest date for receipt of completed applications for the post:

1. Professional Qualifications & Experience

(i) Be a registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or be entitled to be so registered

And

(ii) Have at least three years satisfactory post registration hospital experience

And

(iii) Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office

3. Health

Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

4. Character

Candidates for and any person holding the office must be of good character.

Post specific Requirements

· Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience working in a team environment involving delivery of medicines management expertise

· Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience working in the clinical environment of an oncology/haematology service or aseptic compounding unit is desirable
