Key Responsibilities

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure a culture of Safety First across the site through positive communication and leadership within the team.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental & quality standards, and regulations. Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are reviewed and updated with key stakeholders as necessary.
  • Report any concerns, near misses or incidents to your line Manager immediately and take immediate appropriate action if required.
  • Partner with HSE officer to run safety initiatives and complete HSE checks and inspections.

Maintenance:

  • Ensure the safe, smooth, and proper running of machinery, plant and equipment. 
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Installation of machinery, plant and equipment as required.
  • In conjunction with other key stakeholders prepare a planned maintenance schedule, ensure inspection is in place and respond to reactive maintenance in a timely manner to keep downtime and costs to a minimum.
  • Reporting any issues or defects with plant, machinery and equipment immediately to your line manager and take appropriate action as necessary.
  • Engage and assist in, and at times lead, continuous improvement activities and projects and positively contribute to team meetings.
  • Maintain appropriate records in relation to all maintenance completed and report on targets and KPI’s in a timely manner with a synopsis on positive and negative variances to ensure continuous improvement at all times.
  • In conjunction with other stakeholders, provide assistance where necessary in training operators to operate machinery, plant and equipment.
  • Keep abreast of updates within your field to ensure best practice onsite at all times.
  • Assisting in new equipment installation and maintenance at other associated Enva/ customer sites, if required.
  • To operate all hands-on equipment/tools while using the correct PPE.
  • Fit and assemble components according to specifications. Using proper tools and recognised engineering methods, while verifying conformance of parts.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications and skills

  • Trade certification or relevant qualification in mechanical maintenance.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
