Job Overview
Support a multi-disciplined maintenance team to optimise company assets in a cost-effective manner whilst ensuring compliance with all appropriate legislative requirements within a cGMP environment. To work closely with maintenance management and contribute to the day-to-day decisions and activity critical to the efficient running of the manufacturing sites.
This role will require on-going engagement with various departments and stakeholders as well as a good technical understanding of site plant and equipment.

Main Activities/Task
  • Provide technical leadership to the maintenance team to ensure that plant and equipment is maintained to the highest standards therefore minimising downtime and maximising uptime.
  • Instill root cause analysis techniques to breakdowns; implement corrective action plans and/or contingency plans and communicate to the site management team.
  • Ownership of planned maintenance schedules for manufacturing equipment to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and optimise maintenance costs.
  • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are current, technically correct, and up to date and reflect current planned maintenance program.
  • Ensure that all regulatory and audit requirements associated with the engineering department are met.
  • Ensure compliance to Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and policies pertaining to the maintenance department.
  • Establish 3rd party service contracts and service level agreements for site Utility systems.
  • Management of 3rd party contractors ensuring risk assessments, method statements and all additional information is provided prior to commencement of work onsite.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by line management.
Essential Criteria:
  • Qualified in a relevant plant engineering discipline (City & Guilds, BTEC or Degree)
  • Minimum of 3+ years post apprenticeship experience or 1 years post graduate experience
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with the ability to generate reports.
Desirable Criteria:
  • 3rd level qualification in related technical discipline
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualified or working towards
  • 5 + years supervisory or technical leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
