Salary scale ‘Workshop Manager’ as per The Department of Health & Children Consolidated Scales

The successful applicant will be required to work in progressive and dynamic environment supporting people with an intellectual disability and/or autism. He/She will have responsibility for leading teams within educational day services, as well as service development, transformation and improvements in line with New Directions standards.

Requirements:

  • Be person centred and hold high expectations for individuals we support to live
    a meaningful life within their chosen community in line with the UNCRPD and the
    ADMA
  • A relevant third level qualification
  • Not less than five years relevant experience in the area of health or social care
  • Demonstrate an ability to take a human rights-based approach in service provision
  • Understand how a person who communicates differently can still make decisions and have a choice and control over their lives
  • Knowledge of QQI quality assurance and programme development Frameworks
  • A full driver’s licence
  • Be computer literate
  • A comprehensive knowledge of New Directions standards
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, including leadership and team working
  • An ability to organise, manage and motivate people and to liaise with Parents/Families and Stakeholders
  • Be adaptable and flexible in their approach to the working environment
  • Previous supervisory / management experience desirable

A panel may be formed for a 12-month period to fill future temporary and full time Workshop Manager positions that may arise across all areas managed by Cope Foundation. The Department of Health & Children Consolidated Scales apply.
