Maintenance Person

Main purpose of the role: Ensure all areas of the store are maintained to the highest standards. Health and safety awareness, good communication skills and the ability to work as a team are also very important to perform the role.

The ideal candidate will have/be: • Previous maintenance experience • Experience using common work tools (e.g. hammer, drill) • Good communication skills • Ability to work in a team • Health and Safety awareness • Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Main duties: • Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities • Carry out basic repairs and maintenance • Notify management of deficiencies or need for repair around the store • Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, cleaning floors, removal of rubbish etc. • Maintain outside area of store • Follow all Health and Safety regulations • Perform any other duties or assume any other responsibilities that may be assigned to you from time to time by management
