Maintenance Manager

The Keadeen Hotel is looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems within the hotel premises. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our facilities to the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures, policies, and standards to ensure optimal hotel systems and equipment functioning.
  • Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure efficiency.
  • Coordinate and prioritise maintenance tasks, repairs, and projects to minimise disruptions to hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliance issues.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets, forecasts, and expenditures to control costs and maximise resource utilization.
  • Liaise with external contractors, vendors, and suppliers to procure materials, services, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and guest complaints to resolve issues and ensure guest comfort and safety.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of equipment, minimise downtime, and reduce repair costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and warranties to facilitate tracking and reporting.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous management experience in a similar hotel environment - 2-3 years ideally.
  • Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment and be standards-driven.
  • A good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and practice.
  • Flexibility in day-to-day job demands with a hands-on proactive approach when needed.
  • Electric or plumbing qualifications would be an advantage.
