The Irish Times is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team at the Citywest Print Facility as a Mailroom Operative (Category 2). This role involves a range of duties essential to our print operations and maintenance.

Role Overview: 

• As a Category 2 Operator, you will carry out a variety of responsibilities, including:
• Press and mailroom cleaning
• General cleaning and maintenance services (indoor and outdoor)
• Managing goods inwards/outwards
• Supporting printing and maintenance functions as needed

The successful candidate will be someone adaptable and proactive, able to handle diverse tasks related to newspaper production operations.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience with machine cleaning, forklift operations, and basic maintenance of mechanical and electronic machinery
• Reliable, dependable, and detail oriented
• Demonstrates a clear awareness and understanding of Health & Safety protocols and company procedures

Desirable Criteria:

• Prior experience in a similar role within a print facility
• Certification in forklift operation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
