Role Overview
The M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Design Manager will integrate into a well-established strategic team of Fit-Out specialists, the role will involve technical coordination of fitout projects from pre-construction through to hand over to the client.

What you’ll do

• Lead on any technical evaluation of quality and tender documentation
• Risk assess/review all tender documentation and specifications identifying any anomalies with a subsequent resolution plan
• Coordinate with the project Contract Manager and client liaison on all M & E design and installation matters
• Monitor all design documentation and work closely with the commercial team on procurement strategy
• Coordinate and convene design review meetings
• Lead in M & E design/installation strategy and innovation
• Provide ongoing technical support to the project contract manager and wider project team
• Management and coordination of supply chain partners
• Conduct continuous improvement meetings with internal and external stakeholders

What you’ll bring
As M&E Design Manager, your main skills and experience will include the following criteria:

Essential Criteria

• Possess strong experience managing M & E design packages within the Construction or Fit Out sectors
• Qualified in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline
• Strong background in M&E engineering, with hands-on experience in project management
• Proficiency in using management software (CAFM/Microsoft/AutoCad or equivalent Design Software)
• Demonstrated ability to integrate into a well-established delivery team
• Ability to demonstrate leadership, make quick decisions and prioritise tasks under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Criteria

• Qualified to degree level in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline
• Relevant certifications CSR/CSCS
