Responsibilities
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will provide operational support by coordinating the daily activities of the business in a manner which promotes the Health & Safety values of DB Schenker. This role provides continuous professional development for the incumbent in their career journey. As a Coordinator you will work with the Supervisor on operational issues, interfacing with customers daily to make sure all Customer SLA's are met.
What will you be doing?
- Oversee designated shipments from start to finish, coordinating with multiple departments on local and international levels
- Streamline system event monitoring for optimal efficiency
- Communicate any necessary corrective measures internally and externally, ensuring transparency with customers
- Deliver exceptional customer service and account management assistance, surpassing customer expectations
- Address customer inquiries promptly and troubleshoot issues effectively
- Maintain up-to-date daily and weekly reports
- Handle shipment documentation meticulously to ensure accuracy
- Verify all essential documents are accurate and obtained prior to international transport
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
- Candidates should have experience in a similar role in a relevant industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office in particular Excel
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Team player with can do attitude
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are necessary
- Experience of Air or Road transport an advantage
