RDJ is looking to add an experienced full time Legal Secretary to their growing Cork based Healthcare team and invite driven and qualified candidates to apply. They are committed to diversity, inclusion and equality as they attract, retain and develop world-class talent.

About the role

This role will support the Healthcare team, responsibilities will involve providing full general secretarial support including but not limited to:

  • Digital audio typing;
  • Court administration - preparation of court documents, pleadings and briefs; liaising with counsel;
  • Document management;
  • Filing, photocopying, scanning, answering the phone, making appointments and liaising with clients;
  • Opening, closing and maintaining client files;
  • Other duties as may arise depending on the workload across the Cork office.

Background and experience:

  • Full training will be provided but ideally applicants would have a minimum of two years legal secretarial experience and knowledge of the court systems and ways of working;
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced office environment;
  • Medical background would be advantageous.

Key skills required:

  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Strong IT and systems capability;
  • Strong people skills and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple activities at one time;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage time efficiently.

This is a full time, permanent role and offers hybrid working of a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
