Lead Operations Accountant

The Role

Sofina Foods is seeking an experienced Lead Operational Accountant to join our team in Tullamore. In this key role, you’ll collaborate closely with senior management to ensure accuracy in all operational reporting and analysis, supporting our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.Salary Range: €55,000 - €65,000 per year

Key Accountabilities

• Assist the Site Lead, Finance, in delivering weekly and monthly financial reporting and analyzing continuous improvement (CI) metrics.
• Step in as finance lead during annual leave, maintaining financial oversight.
• Reconcile gross margins between P&L and Commercial Reporting, investigating discrepancies.
• Prepare comprehensive CAPEX proposals for board approval.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies.
• Attend operational meetings to identify improvements, propose solutions, and support action plans.

Skills and Experience Required

• 5+ years of accounting experience in FMCG manufacturing, with strong BOM and product costing knowledge.
• Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Collaborative and metrics-driven, with a commitment to process accuracy and results.
• Proficient in SAP and a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
