Join us as a Lead Cyber Security Consultant:

Reporting to the Technology Security Manager, the Cyber Security Consultant provides Cyber Security input to Three technology projects from feasibility, through design, implementation, verification and operational stages. This role requires a detailed understanding of the technology and appropriate Security required within a mobile network environment across all business sectors. This person will assist, monitor, and advise on the implementation of Three’s IT and Network systems and services to ensure it is delivered to the highest security standards consistent with best industry practice and applicable legislations.

What else it involves…

  • Define Security requirements and provide Security guidance and support for Technology and Network projects through all project delivery stages.
  • Facilitate Security Testing of projects at implementation stages.
  • Review, and Risk Assess Security Operational Readiness prior to implementation.
  • Identify and present options for treating and mitigating Cyber Security Risks alongside supporting Risk and Issue management processes.
  • Support the delivery, onboarding, troubleshooting and fine tuning of the Operational Security toolsets to improve their effectiveness.
  • Building strong relationships with the management and personnel of the other functions within the Technology and Network areas as well as key stakeholders across the business
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with our Partners, holding them to account for their Security deliverables, monitoring and advising on their compliance with Three’s Security Policies and Standards.
  • Support Incident Response, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning activities.
  • Support the Security team in reporting, roadmap and resource planning.
  • Perform research activities around Security threats and incidents.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of industry standards and have an evolving level of technical expertise relevant to the role.
  • Provide expert advice and mentorship to team members in need of advanced cybersecurity guidance, ensuring the team collectively upholds high standards.

The skills we are looking for:

  • The candidate should have at least 3 years’ experience in an Information Security role within a technology organisation.
  • Knowledge of the following or equivalent would be desired:
    Security consulting, architecture/design, or professional services experience.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written to all levels within an organisation from technical design to senior management.
  • Works well under pressure within time/budget constraints to solve problems, adjusts quickly to shifting priorities, and makes decisions with limited information.
  • Proficient in threat response and responding to Security incidents.
  • Understanding of cyber security standards and frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, SANS, OWASP etc).
  • Technical knowledge of large-scale Information Systems, WAN and LAN Networks
  • Mobile Network Technologies including Mobile CORE, RAN and Transmission networks (or specialization in a particular field).
  • Demonstrated teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  • Business Continuity best practices and implementation in a large and complex environment with multiple vendor partners.
  • Data Protection and Personal Data Governance
  • One or more of the following certifications would be desirable:
  • ISO-27001 Certified Implementer and/or Auditor
    ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    Comptia Security+
    ISACA Certified in Risk and Information Control (CRISC)
    ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
    Offensive Security Certified Penetration Tester (OSCP)
