We are currently recruiting for Catering Assistant/Cleaning staff, with an average of 20-40h per week
Monday - Sunday. 9am-5pm
Location : Kinsale, Cork
Purpose of the Role
To undertake daily catering duties in line with Health & Safety Standards. The catering assistant will work within a team to ensure that the catering is kept to the highest standards.
Job Description
The following are key areas of responsibility for the catering assistant:
- Be ready to serve food within the time assigned by management.
- Unload the dishwasher and clean the filter and dishwasher.
- Collect jugs from the resident's room, wash them in hot soapy water, and return back to rooms daily.
- Check and clean the tea trolley.
- Check fridge and freezer temperatures in the kitchenette.
- Check pantry for daily supplies, and restock containers daily.
- Make sure before filling and restocking containers are washed in hot soapy water
- Clean fridge, microwave, toaster, oven, refill dishwashing liquid, check rinse aid in dishwasher
- Clean, disinfect and polish the kitchen and kitchenette
- Undertake general cleaning of all non-clinical areas of the building, including offices, floors, corridors, stairwells and toilets, etc.
- Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
- Ensuring the toilet facilities are kept clean and supplies are replenished when required
- Organize necessary supplies for cleaning toilet facilities
- General housekeeping and cleaning around the building and litter control
- Inform the Supervisor/Manager of stock required for replenishing purposes
- Undertake any other duties as requested

Requirements:
- A can-do attitude
- Experience of a similar role
- Good working knowledge of English
- Knowledge and willingness to apply safe working practices
- Knowledge of how to use the equipment necessary to carry out the assigned tasks.
- Garda Vetting required
