Kennel Manager

Abbey Boarding Kennels and Cattery in Lisnagry, is a purpose built premium facility offering dog cat boarding.  Our Team has a fondness for dogs and cats and the owners have been successfully breeding and showing dogs for more than 30 years.  We have outdoor exercise yards and play areas where the animals get plenty of exercise and make new friends.  This is a lovely opportunity for someone who is passionate about animals and who enjoys outdoor work.

The Kennel Manager is responsible for the daily care and well-being of Dogs & Cats.

Their duties include, but are not limited to :

• Cleaning kennels
• Feeding and watering animals
• Administering medication
• Providing exercise and affection to pets
• Dealing with customers at check-in and departure.
• Cleaning animal waste, spilled food, hair & other debris from the kennels.
• Washing & Drying Pets

Requirements:

• Must be hardworking, enthusiastic and an animal lover
• Must be a team player, but can also use your own initiative
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal & written English
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Must be physically fit and able to work in all weather
• Having animal care training or previous experience is a distinct advantage.
• Must be available to work 5 days over 7
