Junior Accountant

We are actively recruiting for a Junior Accountant to join our well-established team based in our Dublin office, this full time permanent role will be hybrid based (2 days remote & 3 days in office - T, W & T).

This key role will be to support the finance team and will give the right person the opportunity to develop and build on their existing finance career for now and into the future.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Accurate and timely processing of reconciliations, including but not limited to general ledger, control accounts and sub-ledger feeds.
• Assisting in the production of quarterly group and financial reporting as required.
• Preparation of files and documentation for internal and external audit, ensuring SOX compliance, liaising with Auditors.
• Engage with team mates as well as stakeholders to drive continuous enhancements and adapt to more efficient ways of working.
• Assist with project work as needed, including new insurance platform implementation.

The right candidate will

• Have some corporate sector experience within finance/ accounts
• Possess excellent Excel skills and experience working within financial reconciliation.
• Strong organisational skills with a good attention to detail
• Be an effective communicator and have the ability to happily work on individual projects as well as collaboratively with a team.
• An interest in continuing to work towards your qualifications or thinking about working towards gaining your qualifications in the future is preferred.
