IT Operations Specialist

Alliance Medical are recruiting an IT Operations Specialist to join our IT team. This role is remote but successful candidate will be required to travel to our AMDI sites & our Head Office (located in Raheen, Co. Limerick) from time to time.

This role offers a Full-time, Permanent Contract. This will suit an individual who is enthusiastic and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy is key.

The successful candidate will hold a key role in the maintenance of IT Systems, networks and infrastructure within Alliance Medical. Reporting to the IT Director, this roll plays a crucial part in monitoring a wide array of Infrastructure and Security toolsets, as well as contributing to other areas of the IT environment.

Duties to Include:

• Support the IT team in the maintenance of hardware, software, and other systems.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Assist in hardware procurement.
• Assist with hardware & software asset management process.
• Work with the external IT helpdesk and fulfil support requests within agreed SLAs. Participate in the deployment of new desktops, servers, or applications.
• Participate in IT DR and BCP.
• Participate in the ongoing maintenance and development of the Information Security management System (ISMS).
• Work closely with the Information Security Manager and external SOC to monitor and investigate threats detected by our suite of Cyber Security tools.
• Document all processes in reference manuals for training and guidance in accordance with ISO27001:2022 standards.
• Assist with the deployment and development of new software platforms.
• Assist with the development of AMDIs Azure and cloud platforms including but not limited to MDM, Intune, 0365.
• Assist in managing all outstanding patches and vulnerabilities within the Patch Management software to maintain a strong security posture.
• These duties and responsibilities are a reflection of the present reporting requirements and may be subject to review and amendment to meet the changing needs of the area.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT Support or Cyber Security related roles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and it’s toolsets (Intune, Conditional access policies, Entra ID).
• Hands-on experience with security technologies (SIEM, Firewalls, IDS/IPS) highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Cyber security standards & frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, OWASP).
• Experience with Patching and Vulnerability management tools advantageous.
