We are seeking to appoint a number of motivated and talented students across a range of disciplines to join our 2025/2026 Internship Programme at the Central Bank of Ireland.Internships will be commencing in both September 2025 and January 2026 and will generally be between six to twelve months in duration, aligned with the internship format of their course of study.By pursuing an internship with us at the Central Bank of Ireland, you will gain a unique experience and insight into the work of the Central Bank. Depending on your internship, your typical day may include responsibilities such as:
  • Supporting the team through the provision of analysis, information and reports;
  • Answering queries and dealing with issues from internal and external stakeholders;
  • Participating in team projects and activities, and contributing to the overall delivery of the team and the division;
  • Assisting in in-person, hybrid and virtual meetings;
  • Ensuring system records are kept up to date.
What are we looking for?
  • We would like to hear from students across various disciplines including but not limited to Business, HR, Finance, IT, Maths, Law, Data Analytics and Economics;
  • Previous experience of working in a professional environment (summer placement etc.), would be a distinct advantage;
  • A positive, can do attitude;
  • Strong ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as on your own initiative;
  • Willingness to learn and develop;
  • Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
