Aim of the Position:
Manage & grow sales within allocated customers through close interaction using telephone, email & other office based concepts. All records to be update using Nordson C4C computer system
Business Unit overview:
- Promote Nordson products to both new & existing customers in the UK & Ireland with aim to grow business yearly in line with corporate objectives.
- Identify & develop new system sales in the end user business through close interaction with customers, aim to increase machine population through targeted approach using market & application knowledge
- Develop recapitalisation business for old systems installed base by developing & managing a competitive trade-in concept
- Pro-actively develop aftermarket business through promotion of engineering, parts & maintenance products. Target to increase the average aftermarket spend per machine
Main Tasks & Duties of the position:
- Maintain & develop customer relationships through telephone, email, remote meetings etc.
- Establish & update customer data (contacts, IBase & Tel No) for each account in C4C
- Generate system sales revenue from your customers using our obsolescence programme
- Promote aftermarket portfolio (spare parts, training, service contract)
- Identify new potential customers & revenue streams through market research & references
- Support field based team with quotations & administration support as required
- Handling of incoming telephone calls, email & office administrative duties as required
- Any other duties as requested by management
Education/ Experience and Soft Skills:
- 2 to 5 years previous experience within an inside sales environment, preferably in a technical sales role.
- Professional telephone manner with strong customer ethics
- Good oral and written communication / negotiation skills including value selling concepts
- Target driven with the ability to measure own success using KPI's
- Ability to work using their own initiative or equally as part of a team
- Capable of working to set standards / deadlines & show good time management
- Possess a creative flare with the ability to think "out of the box" to satisfy customers needs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & have experience with CRM sales platforms
- Knowledge of web based media & email promotions
- Well presented, enthusiastic & flexible in day to day duties
