Key Responsibilities
Key elements of the role of the Information and Reporting Officer include:
Service DevelopmentA minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A-C (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics. A minimum of 2 years’ experience working on projects to develop services supported by data analysis and shared learning. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in developing and managing reports and dashboards in Power BI, including data visualisation, report generation, and real-time data tracking to support decision-making. Experience of working in a co-ordination role, providing support to deliver timely accurate reports to internal and external stakeholders. Advanced skills in the use of MS Office package including Word, PowerPoint, Excel. The Victims and Survivors Service is an Equal Opportunities Employer. Key Responsibilities
Key elements of the role of the Information and Reporting Officer include:
Service Development
- Support the Service Development & Reporting Manager on the development of new services in line with the VSS remit. This could include supporting the design of new services areas in response to changes in the VSS remit, or with the review and evolution of services in existing areas.
- Liaise with community partners, service users, funders and others to gather information and arrange/participate in co-design programmes.
- Co-ordinate the summary of data, learning and information available internally (monitoring & evaluation team) and externally (Commission for Victims and Survivors Research, Community & Voluntary Sector research & experience, and other external sources) – to support the development/enhancement of effective services and support for victims and survivors.
- Support the Data Protection Officer in monitoring compliance with UK GDPR and organisational data protection policies.
- Maintain systems and co-ordinate processes for the collation and presentation of timely internal reporting, to support operational and strategic decision making at pace.
- Support the delivery of timely external reporting, including the VSS Corporate & Delivery Plans, Annual Reports, Quarter end reporting, and ad hoc reporting (for example to Executive Committees).
- Engage with internal staff, and external service providers to deliver external reports as required.
- Support the collation of information relating to activity undertaken by Community Partner Organisations (through liaison with other VSS teams including Monitoring & Evaluation and Community Partnership teams).
- Assist with the implementation of an Electronic Records and Document Management System (ERDM) and manage the use of that system following implementation.
