  • Belfast
  • Permanent (Monday – Friday)
  • 28 hours per week
  • £14.12 per hour + 37p mileage

Bryson Care is growing, and we are on the lookout for new advocates for our Belfast Team
To provide independent advocacy support to children and adults living with a learning disability and/or mental ill health and their carers throughout Northern Ireland including Muckamore Abbey Hospital.

What you’ll be doing:
  • To respond to referrals for advocacy support and manage an individual caseload as allocated.
  • To build positive and meaningful relationships with Service Users/Carers and recognising Service Users/Carers as the Expert by Experience.
  • To assist the Service Users/Carers to explore their choices and options and support them in making an informed decision about potential courses of action without influence
  • To provide independent advocacy to service users who are making the transition from hospital to the community.


Essential Criteria
  • Previous experience working in an advocacy role with children and adults with a learning disability and/or mental health needs
  • 3rd Level standard of education
  • Knowledge and understanding of the issues relating to children and adults living with a learning disability and/or mental ill health
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a car to carry out the duties required of the post.
  • This post is subject to registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)
