HR Training Team Lead

An opportunity has arisen for the role of HR Training Team Lead within central HR, reporting to the HR Service Delivery Manager.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Recruit, retain, coach, develop and lead a highly responsive team of Training Specialists that fully meet the HR training requirements of the business using current learning methodologies such as micro, interactive, gamification, social etc in addition to traditional training methods.
  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive training strategy and subsequent plan.
  • Partner with the HR Operations & HRi Helpdesk team lead in identifying HR training knowledge gaps presented by employees in Helpdesk Service Requests to drive continued improvement.
  • Ensure continuous development and maintenance of ongoing original training content by the team including knowledge hub content within Hri and iConnect (All HR Polices, policies and systems).
  • Lead the development and maintenance of script, training manuals and process maps relevant to the audience that are clear and easily understood.
  • Responsible for the creation and dissemination of content on HRi and MyTime to drive user adoption, engagement, and interaction to help build a greater knowledge and understanding of the various HR Policies.
  • Work cross-functionally with departmental stake holders including HR function – Centres of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Reward, Organisation Capability, Workforce Support, Employee Relations, HR Business Partners) to develop training courses for all daa employees on HR policies, systems, and processes.
  • Lead the alignment of training to the daa training plan and framework which supports our business strategy.
  • Lead the evaluation and reporting of employee training effectiveness and modify programs accordingly.
  • Develop strong working relationships across the business with our stakeholders.
  • Lead the continual improvement of training, including success levels of previous rollouts & methods.
  • Ensuring that the team delivers on and meets all KPIs and SLAs relating to the delivery of HR Training needs in alignment with overall HR Strategy.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification is essential
  • Extensive experience in training and development is essential, and experience of delivering large scale technological solutions desirable.
  • 2 years or more experience of leading teams, demonstrating strong people leadership skills, is desirable.
  • Experience of working with data/information with the ability to produce reports that inform progress.
  • Experience of working with HR Systems, LMS software and Reporting tools desirable with an emphasis on using technology to engage others and support business delivery.
  • Experience of digital content creation would be distinct advantage.
  • Proven experience of reviewing and standardising business processes & practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a plan/strategy which involves working across business units.
  • Strong customer service ethos and proven ability to influence and establish positive relations across the business to drive and enable business change.
  • Energetic, ability to adapt to change, strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong scheduling, planning and organisation skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, (Visio Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint).
