Headquartered in Ireland, H&MV Engineering is a High Voltage Electrical Contracting Company that specialises in the Design and Building of Substations up to 400 kV. Nationally and internationally, H&MV Engineering are involved in a plethora of Renewable, Data Centre and Utility projects in the private sector worldwide. Students looking to gain experience in the Power Engineering Industry can expect to be engaged in a range of multi-disciplinary High Voltage Transmission and Distribution Projects.

We are looking for a motivated HR Intern to join our team. This role provides valuable experience across several HR functions, including recruitment, record-keeping, compliance, and employee support. The HR Intern will assist in maintaining accurate employee data, supporting recruitment campaigns, and ensuring HR processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Database / Record Keeping / General Administration

  • Maintain and update employee records, including attendance monitoring and reflecting changes in HR & Payroll systems.
  • Ensure company databases/HR systems are updated accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare weekly and periodic reports and statistics as needed.
  • File management, photocopying, and general administrative support.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to HR-related queries from colleagues and department managers.

Recruitment, Selection, and Onboarding

  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Team in various recruitment campaigns, including apprenticeships and graduate positions.
  • Support relocation programs, offering assistance on a case-by-case, country-specific basis.

Mobilization

  • Support employee secondments and international transfers, coordinating travel arrangements where required.

Compliance

  • Assist the Global HR Team in ensuring compliance with local regulations, laws, and H&MV Engineering HR procedures, adhering to industry best practices.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Qualifications:

  • Currently studying or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in an HR environment (internship or work experience) is an advantage but not essential.
