Human Resource Administrator 

Contract Duration/Type: Fixed Term Contract (9 Months) 

Location: Cork 

Hybrid/Onsite: Hybrid (2 Days in Office/Site, 1 Day from Home)

Working Pattern (Time/Hours): 3 Days Per Week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) - 9am to 5pm 

Overview of the role: 

This role is designed to provide dedicated HR support to our client sites in Cork and our Fermoy office, ensuring the smooth delivery of all HR processes and tasks. From employee relations to administrative support, you’ll play a key role in maintaining efficient and effective HR operations across our sites.

Day to day of the role:

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on employment matters in line with legislation and company policy.

  • Process employee data changes, including contract updates (hours, roster, reporting lines, etc.).within HR system

  • Support HRBPs with Employee Relations cases (investigations, minute taking, invite letters, meeting scheduling).

  • Manage retirement processes, discussions, and offboarding.

  • Process invoices through Workday, including creating POs for suppliers.

  • Assist with performance and objective-setting process and personal development planning through HRIS system (Workday)

  • Help design and implement improvements to policies, procedures, and standard documentation.

  • Support the onboarding and offboarding process, including new starter calls and exit interviews.

  • Follow up on probation reviews, assisting managers with extensions if needed.

  • Provide recruitment support (references, interview coordination) to ensure a smooth resourcing process.

  • Organise occupational health medicals.

  • Maintain and update the HRIS system (Workday).

  • Support attendance management processes.

  • Assist with Veolia’s wellness programme and charity events.

  • Handle general administration and ad-hoc HR/project tasks as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Level 8 qualification in HRM or Business Studies (HRM focus)

  • 1–2 years in a graduate or HR admin role

  • Proficiency in MS Suite / Google Suite; Workday experience is a plus

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and innovative

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Team player with a positive, "can-do" attitude

  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet tight deadlines
