Job Summary
The postholder will be responsible for the development and delivery of heritage programmes throughout the wider district. The postholder will be responsible for the conservation and interpretation of the wider built heritage within the district. They will also be responsible for the development and delivery of a Built Heritage Development Plan. The postholder will be responsible support to the Head of Service in developing and managing the implementation of strategic plans focused on Heritage development.
Hours of Work
18 hours per week.
The post holder must be prepared to work outside normal office hours, including evenings, weekends, and Public and extra Statutory Holidays for which the appropriate payment will be made or time in lieu granted if relevant.
Duration of Appointment
This is a temporary post until 01.01.2027.
Work Pattern
18 hours Wednesday - Friday.
Hours of work are kept under review and may change in order to meet operational requirements, providing requisite notice.
Location
Location is Downpatrick.
Whilst the current vacant post is based in Downpatrick, suitable candidates who are placed on a reserve list may be offered a similar post in other Council locations.
The post holder may be required to transfer to other locations in accordance with any requirements stated in the Job Description, any reviews of service delivery or other requirements as may arise from time to time. Any amendments made to work location will be implemented following appropriate consultation and provision of reasonable notice.

PO2 SCP 31-34, currently £40,476 - £43,693 per annum based on a 36 hour week (pro rata to hours worked).
