Summary of role:

Payment & Card Products are part of the Products, Retail team. Products has responsibility for our four core product sets which include; Mortgages, Credit, Current & Deposit Accounts, and Payments & Cards. Products has a Group-wide remit and is a key enabler of customer centric propositions and the delivery of the bank’s Regulatory, Sustainment and Strategic agenda. We want to be renowned for providing reliable and simple products that deliver fair outcomes for customers in an environment where our business and people thrive.

A vacancy now exists for a Head of Product Management reporting into the Head of Payment & Card Products.

This role presents an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced leader to join the Payment & Card Products team, working closely with colleagues across AIB Group including Legal, Compliance, Risk, Tech & Data, Retail and Capital Markets.

The Head of Product Management is responsible for:

  • Managing the life cycle of payment products and card products
  • Working with colleagues to ensure that the products remain regulatory and scheme compliant.
  • Collaborating with the Propositions and Change teams to deliver solutions for our customers

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Leading and developing a team of product management professionals and subject matter experts to deliver the best outcomes for our customers
  • Ensuring the Product and Proposition Risk Policy is adhered to.
  • Influencing the future product roadmap for Payment & Card Products, collaborating within colleagues across the team and with colleagues in Tech & Data.
  • Ensuring all risks related are understood and mitigated appropriately.
  • Being a champion for the Customer.
  • Supporting the Payment & Cards Products team in identifying opportunities for enhanced internal processes and identify efficiencies.
  • Building your and the team’s profile across the Bank
  • Providing management oversight for payment and card operational activities which support the end-to-end product lifecycle, including SLA monitoring and regular business reviews for insourced & outsourced services. 

What you will bring:

  • Have a minimum 5 years of experience in Product Management or other similar role. (Note; knowledge of payment product and/or card products is preferrable but not necessary)
  • The ability to work collaboratively, to influence and build strong relationships with bank wide stakeholders across Retail, AIB UK, EBS, Capital Markets, Tech & Data, OBS, Legal and 2LOD.
  • Learn quickly and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Be an excellent verbal and written communicator to drive senior stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead and develop teams.
  • Ideally (but not mandatory) an understanding of the global ecosystems in which payment products and card products operate.
  • Have a good understanding of applicable regulation.
  • Have Full QFA
