About The Role

In this role, you will play an essential part in delivering on the Group’s Beyond the Horizon strategy. Your broad sustainability knowledge and previous experience will support functions in their achievement of our ambitious sustainability plans. You will have scope to influence ongoing implementation, as you work alongside functional experts to ensure delivery against existing and emerging sustainability requirements. You will ensure that priority workstreams are aligned and integrated with other programmes of work and will support our communications and sustainability reporting teams to communicate on the impact we are making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of external issues with relevance to the sustainability material topics of the company, particularly climate and nature.
  • Leading action on potential areas of sustainability risk or opportunity and coordinating appropriate and timely strategies and execution plans.
  • Taking a lead role on the integration of specific sustainability themes across functions, acting as the go to person for the team on specific-subject matters, in particular nature-based issues.
  • Partnering with functional colleagues, collaborating to help them identify and understand emerging best practice and working directly to integrate into existing processes.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and integrated within Kerry’s Beyond the Horizon objectives.
  • Supporting the work of the Communications and Sustainability Reporting teams, helping them to deliver on disclosure requirements and broader stakeholder communications.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Relevant sustainability qualification, ideally a Master’s degree.
  • Strong relevant experience working to deliver sustainability programmes with experience preferably across nature themes, and additional experience in climate and/or social sustainability.
  • Familiarity with sustainability standards, global best practice and reporting frameworks.
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritising to meet requirements.
  • Previous experience working across complex value chains, ideally within the food & beverage sector.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to a range of non-specialist audiences.
