Groundskeeper – 4* Grand Hotel, Malahide

The 4* Grand Hotel, Malahide now invites experienced applicants to apply for the position of Groundskeeper. The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in maintaining the grounds and outdoor spaces of our prestigious 4* hotel to the highest standard.

Responsibilities will include gardening, lawn care, landscaping, and general outdoor maintenance to ensure the hotel’s exterior is always in pristine condition.

You must have previous experience in groundskeeping or a related field, along with a strong work ethic and a passion for outdoor maintenance. Flexibility in working hours and the ability to work in all weather conditions are required for this role.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Plant Care & Maintenance:

• Plant and maintain a variety of plants, including flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Regularly water, fertilize, and trim plants to promote healthy growth.
• Identify and treat diseases, pests, and other issues affecting plants.
• Clean and maintain all garden and landscape areas, ensuring they remain tidy and attractive.
• Use and maintain gardening tools, light machinery, and equipment effectively and safely.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations related to landscaping and gardening.
• Follow safety guidelines when applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals.
• Communicate with management and hotel staff about the care and maintenance of the grounds as needed.

The ideal candidate:

• Previous experience working in a 4*/5* hotel or similar high-standard environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively within a team when required.
• A keen interest in maintaining aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
