The opportunity: 

We are currently seeking an individual to join our team as a General Operative. This role offers a thrilling chance to be part of a vibrant team in the packaging industry, working for a top-tier provider of packaging solutions. The successful candidate will be working on the Production Floor, tasked with ensuring all products are manufactured in line with our production plan. A key part of the role is upholding our quality standards and adhering to operating procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with current systems of working, including established shift patterns.
  • Work as part of a team to achieve daily/weekly production targets.
  • Achieve the highest possible quality standards, working within the guidelines outlined in the established quality systems to achieve customer specification.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and training to ensure the product is finished and packed.
  • To pack product as per the customer specification.
  • Comply with the sampling process as per customer request.
  • Participate as part of a team to maximize production efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous learning and development to update skills and participate in improvement initiatives in production.
  • Work flexibly across all the production departments as needed.

What you need to succeed

  • Sound process knowledge of a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare market desirable not essential 
  • Familiar with quality standards and procedures.
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Methodical approach to undertaking tasks
  • Computer literate and familiar with Word, Excel and Outlook.
