General Operative

• 1.0WTE (39 hours)

• Indefinite Duration

• H.S.E. funded

• Based in Blackrock Hospice

The General Operative will work under the direction and guidance of the Support Services Manager to support the provision of light maintenance and general support services within Blackrock Hospice. The post holder will carry out a flexible range of duties including assistance to craft personnel, waste, linen and equipment transportation.

Essential Requirements

Qualification:

  • A full, clean and current driving license
  • Knowledge and experience of ordering, monitoring & changing out of medical gas cylinders

Experience

  • Relevant work experience in a healthcare setting within the last three years
  • Experience in dealing with all members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Experience of carrying out light maintenance work

Other

  • Flexibility regarding working hours

Desirable

Qualification:

  • Manual handling training
  • Fire training
  • Emergency Response training in a healthcare setting
  • Safe-Pass Certificate
