General Operative

Job Description:

General Operatives (Retail Room) are required for busy period. The General Operative will be responsible for performing various duties associated with production. The role requires someone who works well in a fast-paced environment and can thrive under pressure. We require someone that can work a shift schedule and is willing to work overtime as necessary. You will be provided with training to enable you to become a fully skilled member of the team, this is a Fixed term contract to the end of December with the possibility of extension.

Role and Responsibilities:

· Carry out tasks within area of responsibility to meet daily output requirements

· Customer focused, putting customer needs first

· Meet production targets

· Working in a cold environment

· Compliance with any Health & Safety regulations including always wearing the appropriate PPE

· Assist with any adhoc duties as requested by your Supervisor/Line Manager

· Physical role with lifting and carrying techniques

· Have an understanding of hygiene procedures

· The ability to work as part of a team & ability to work under your own initiative

· Flexible approach to working hours

· Good communication skills

· Dynamic and adaptable

· Have a willingness to learn and develop yourself 

Desirable:

· Preferably have experience in a similar production environment, however training will be provided
