An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Garage Manager. Reporting to the Transport, Fleet Manager your key tasks and responsibilities will include;

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manage all Garage personnel and garage facilities

2. Ensure effective career development plans and Mentor programme in place for Apprentices

3. Assist in the preparation of budgetary forecasts in line with corporate objectives and ensure that they are delivered.

4. Health and Safety management and auditing within the Garage.

5. Ensure that administrative activities are completed on time and in accordance with the internal systems.

6. Assist in the development and implementation of processes and systems.

7. Ensure all fleet comply with legislative and transport requirements.

8. Oversee all accident reporting and investigations as required

9 . PSV preparation

10. Planning unscheduled work

11. Reacting to roadside breakdowns

12. Using a computerised defect reporting system

13. Working closely with dealers and suppliers regarding warranty and maintenance contracts

14. Ensure that all tasks are performed with Quality and Health and Safety in mind.

15. Any other duties as deemed relevant by the management
